(no subject)

His face didn't betray an ounce of recognition as he told me what his company does. We graduated high school the same year, taking many classes together over the 4 years there. Even while I listened to what he did - and it was quite interesting - I was wondering if I should point out that our paths had crossed before, 22 years ago.

The issue resolved itself when he was pulled away to be briefly interviewed, and as I talked to other folks at the event I never did make it back to him to tell him what I did, or, for that matter, who I was, something which I regret a bit now.

Step 24: just because you don't know what to say now doesn't mean you shouldn't say anything. You never even know if having the rights words matter until you try.
