Going to California with an aching in my heart

Finalized my arrangements last weekend. Sadly, couldn't get non-stop flights given the days I'm traveling for less than $2000, which is ludicrous. So, I get to visit my old nemesis ORD and meet DFW for the first time on the way back. Shoulda taken the train, and if i didn't think the support work for the Qatar campus were likely to be ramping up in the next week I would have. Bah.

I did arrange (for a bit more money than I'll be reimbursed for, I'm sure) for my rental to be a 2004 Prius. I figure I'll take some pictures and be able to offer some commentary after I've driven it.

Now, my laundry is done, I have a few hundred USGS maps covering the Bay area on my laptop, and I need to get my presentation done... and maybe get the MacOS 10.3 AFS problem debugged. Oh, and pack. Well, at least I have about 30 hours to fit it all in.
