For today's jaunt I went to Alliance, Ohio, visiting hobby shops along the way in Millvale, Beaver, Salem and Alliance. The shop in Salem was one we passed several years back when it was closed and then couldn't remember where it was; We sort of bumbled into it today. The guy in Alliance had a pile of model railroad detail parts on his shelf, which was like an invitation. He also had prototype signals in his front window, and a layout and a radio tuned to railroad frequencies in his store. Very cool.
I feel bad that I have no time to work on my layout. I'd still sort of like to pay someone to build it.
