Tonight's ride began at the Millvale Riverfront Park and went west to the northern end of the now-closed Western Penitentiary. The house-like building on the center of the west face is missing its windows, but some lights were still on in the main building. Strange.

Anyway, it's a decent ride, except there's a small bit by the south side of Heinz Field where I had to carry the bike up/down steps because the riverfront area was under construction over toward the Carnegie Science Center. Officially, it seems to be the Millvale, North Shore, and Chateau Trails. Basically all of it is former CSX/B&O/(Pittsburgh & Western) railroad, or close to it in the case of the shore opposite downtown. All told, probably about 15 miles, and a ride I should do again.
