The CMU class of 2009 have been oriented. Hopefully they know which way west is now. I did only a little dragging of speakers and such with ABTech (and it's unclear if I will make it back tonight), though I did see my sister briefly. This is her last year, assuming she graduates on time.

It looks like, having forgotten all summer, I will miss the last Greensburg concert in the park this Friday, as I have to be somewhere that evening.

As to life, well, maybe we should take lessons from the Dutch. I've been trying, possibly unknowingly. From here:
The larger point is this: They live much better here. They carve out cozy, delightful moments anywhere they can find them. They bring their families on candlelit, nighttime boat rides through the canals. They chat with their friends at outdoor cafes as the sun sets. They leave work by 6 every evening. And these are not special, once-in-a-blue-moon treats. This is how they live, all the time.

I have no canals, but my life is more flexible now. Biking may not be the coziest moment, but I have seen more in the last several months than I probably did for years before, just biking, ignoring anything else I've done.
