I had to move meredith.dementia.org (a.k.a. the mail and afs server) to our machine room for a building-wide power outage. The fact that it's a published name server screwed me. Bernstein is right about this, but of course tinydns doesn't handle notifies, which is a huge huge pain.

So, let's see how many people will be screwed by cached cnames pointing to meredith instead of the tmp-meredith record i set up today, or more particularly, how many will call me and ask why they can't read their mail.
