And though my body's back I know it can't be real

This week is the trip to the northern Virginian exurbs for the annual company meeting. Blah. But, I'll make the best of it. In the meantime, another trip I've been loosely planning involves stops in Williamsburg, VA (to see my sister) and Raleigh/Durham, possibly working south out of Ashburn. However, someone recently nailed home something for me, which makes me wonder if I can drag it out into a longer trip.

The Sloss Furnace museum has "... the only twentieth-century blast furnace in the U.S. being preserved and interpreted as an historic industrial site." My industrial lust is getting the better of me. I wish the Carrie Furnace people would get on with it, I mean, what, I only go by there a few dozen times a month. Or, heck, it's not like Bethlehem is a schlep, really. It still pisses me off to no end that I never got to Weirton when they still gave tours of the hot end which is now being closed for good.
