Tomorrow I head for New York for my monthly trip. I plan to stop off for lunch somewhere on the way; I have an idea and I need to check something in the morning to see if it will work. Then I will continue on directly to the Upper West Side, and deposit my car.
I think the right answer is going to be to come back Saturday and try to work on the house in the evening. The bathroom needs minor painting of woodwork and a spot on the ceiling covered. The kitchen needs the ceiling sanded slightly and then painted, and a spot on the wall plastered (and sanded if it dries, I suppose I could plaster it first). I also need to get flooring material for the kitchen so after the wall is painted I can put the floor down and start putting in cabinets. Actually, I could paint the wall behind the cabinets now (that wall is fine) and start mounting them, except mounting is not a one man job.
On the plus side I again have a suit that fits, and the lunch counter at the Lincoln Pharmacy in Millvale does in fact serve tasty Pamela's breakfasts. I also have a new (to me) G4 tower to use for MacOS development, and made some work progress today, though not enough.
This is all sort of boring, isn't it?
